Year: 2010

Hometown: Canton, OH

Major: Economics and International Studies

Bio: I’m a sophomore from the eastern hills of Ohio majoring in economics and international studies. I joined Delta Chi as a freshman in the spring after rushing on a whim. I visited a lot of fraternities, but the men of Delta Chi were by far the most honest, modest, and down-to-earth people that I met. Their good humor and sensibility grew on me, and after some contemplation I dropped my bid. I’ve come to love them more with each passing day and shared experience. I was recently elected President to serve a term until April 2009, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to help my brothers grow and expand the fraternity.

Outside of Delta Chi, I volunteer with a philanthropic organization, National Student Partnerships, that helps underprivileged locals find jobs, get access to government benefits, and connect with other area non-profits. I enjoy spending summertime weekends in Sandusky, OH, putting around on Lake Erie and riding the coasters at Cedar Point. I’m also an avid college football fan, cheering for the Cats every chance I get. And I admittedly still have a soft spot for my hometown Buckeyes and love to root for them when they’re not in Evanston.

Favorite Quote: "Success is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration." - Thomas Edison

Bio: I'm a sophomore engineering student from the swampy suburbs of New Orleans. I'm a 2006 grad of Jesuit High School New Orleans and am a member of Northwestern's Rugby team. I'm also active on Delta Chi's intramural sports teams, particularly soccer.

I came to Northwestern with an open mind regarding fraternities. My dad was a member of one in college back in the 70's, but I was unsure of whether I wanted to join one. So like many freshman I made the rounds on Northwestern's fraternity circuit, but I was blown away by Delta Chi. Once I got to know the guys in the house and experienced the atmosphere of the chapter, there was no other real alternative. I have been very happy with my decision and have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Delta Chi

I'm also a die-hard fan of the most hapless team in professional sports (sorry Cubs fans--at least you win playoff games every few years), the New Orleans Saints!

Bio: Well, where to start...

I am from Evanston, so I have been a Northwestern fan since I was about 5. After thinking about it for a long time, I made the decision to come here and it has been an awesome one.

I am in the drumline here, I also am a member of the Club Golf team, but for me the best organization I have been a part of at Northwestern is Delta Chi. The guys I have met and the experiences that I have had have been fantastic, and I could not have had them without joining Delta Chi. Also, the fraternity has helped me grow as a person here at Northwestern. I am Vice President now, it's been a fun year so far and I expect it to continue.

I am a big college football fan, I also like the Bulls, Sox, and Bears (and I'll cheer for the Cubs too when they're not playing the Sox, although I get made fun of for that...). I love playing the drums (marching and drumset), golfing, and just about every other sport (IM's are fun). Other than that, I just like hanging around and having a good time.

Bio: Hey guys what's up, I'm a junior in Tech getting my EE degree right now, also on exec board of Delta Chi as the Alumni Relations Chair. I come from Nashville, but I consider myself a northerner since I grew up in Minnesota for a while. I'm a member of the NU marching band trumpet section, which is one of the best organizations on campus (hey- how many times have YOU gotten to meet Fitz?).

Actually, if it weren't for band I'd have never joined Delta Chi. Like a lot of other bios you see here, I had absolutely no plan to join a fraternity when I came to campus, but I was invited over and realized that Dchi doesn't the fraternity stereotype. I joined as a freshman and have been actively involved since I started, culminating in being elected to the exec board this year.

I'm a huge fan of: the Titans, the Predators (NHL rocks... watch it for a season and you will be addicted), the Twins, and the Northwestern Wildcats (duh). I'll talk sports forever.

Bio: What's Up Everyone,
I'm a senior majoring in magazine journalism and political science and I'm currently interning at Sports Illustrated in New York City, which is about 30 miles south of where I grew up. I'm an avid sports fan, a music fanatic, and I appreciate a good steak.
When I first came to college I couldn't imagine ever joining a fraternity but when some D-Chi guys invited me over for some free food on my first day of freshman year I decided I'd give it a shot. Before I knew it the guys I met that day and in the following weeks had become some of my best friends on campus and by the time I received my bid joining was more of a formality than anything else. From there I served as Vice President my junior year and now I'm the President.
I'm always reachable by email or by phone (845)598-3175 so feel free to contact me anytime.

Bio: Hey Everyone,
I'll give you my Delta Chi bio...freshmen year I arrived to campus 100% against joining a fraternity. I knew little to nothing about them, but I did know I didn't want to be a part of one. Well, Delta Chi changed my entire outlook on Greek life. I soon learned that Delta Chi offered something unique, something that persuaded me to reconsider fraternities. I went and checked out several fraternities to learn what they were about and what they had to offer, and I found that for me it was either Delta Chi or nothin'. After joining, I became a philanthropy chair for a year, and then I was given a great honor by my brothers. I became President of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Who knew that you could go from being completely against fraternities to leading an entire chapter?! I have thoroughly loved my time in DX and I am looking forward to see what new and exciting things the year holds for the house!

Driving Safety Tip: When turning, keep your wheels straight until traffic clears and you actually begin to make your turn.

Bio: Brad Kolsky is a senior Electrical Engineering major with an interest in theatrical lighting design and entertainment technology. Brad is active in the student theater community at Northwestern. He was a member of the Arts Alliance executive board for two years and has designed lighting for multiple theatrical productions. Brad likes to go overboard with anything he is interested in. This could explain the over-the-top and award-winning "Pirates of the Caribbean" float he designed as a homecoming chair in 2006. Finally, Brad is beyond obsessed with driving enormous SUVs (specifically Chevrolet Suburbans). He does not consider Chevy suburbans to be gas guzzlers. They really aren't that bad.
